The GUID Class ID's Page
Welcome to the GUID Class ID's list
You can download uiddevs.exe(zipped) here.
uiddevs.exe is a program that will scan your system and generate a file called uiddevs.upd, which contains any additional data found in your Windows installation about GUID classes, which uiddevs.txt doesn't already have listed. To use this program, extract it to the same folder as uiddevs.txt, and run it as follows: uiddevs %SystemRoot%\inf %SystemRoot%\ServicePackFiles You can include other paths to locations containing Windows driver .INF files for GUID classes on the command line (the two paths given above point to Windows default driver .INF locations). The uiddevs utility will scan each path for .INF files, read and interpret their contents, and extract all data necessary to add recognition of these devices to uiddevs.txt
Ray sure would appreciate it if you would send him a copy of any uiddevs.upd files your systems create. You can do this by emailing a copy of the uiddevs.upd diff-file to siv (at) rh-software (dot) com.
uiddevs.exe will also generate a new file called uiddevs.???, where ??? is a three digit number. This file is a new version of uiddevs.txt incorporating the updates you have just detected. If you replace the original uiddevs.txt with this file (i.e. rename it to .txt), SIV should now recognise all your devices. Note that it is recommended that you do not distribute versions of uiddevs.txt which you generate yourself; please only distribute official versions you download from this website.
